Montague Michigan 2017 Summer Book Talks will take place at the Montague Branch Library. Summer reading and relaxing go hand-in-hand so here is an opportunity to meet the authors and gain a bit of insight into their publications. Join the Friends of the Montague Library at the library on Ferry St in downtown Montague for six delightful and informative presentations. 2017 Summer Book Talks is sponsored by Friends of the Montague Library with funding make possible by a grant from White Lake Community Fund.
The following is the list of authors and presentations that make up the book talk series. Starting off the 2017 series on June 28 at 7 pm is Wade Rouse, author of 2017 Michigan Notable Book, presenting The Charm Bracelet: A Novel by Viola Shipman. Then one week later on July 5 at 7 pm join Mardi Jo Link the Michigan Notable Book Author of The Drummond Girls: A Story of Fierce Friendship Beyond Time and Chance. Followed on July 12 at 10 am by Marsha Reed, focused on coming of age novels with extraordinary characters. Continuing the series on July 19 at 7 pm is Maureen Dunphy, author of 2017 Michigan Notable Book the Great Lakes Island Escapes: Ferries and Bridges to Adventure. The next author in the book talk series is William Rapai on July 26 at 7 pm, the 2017 Michigan Notable Book Author of Lake Invaders: Invasive Species and the Battle for the Future of the Great Lakes. Wrapping up the Montague Library 2017 summer book talk series on August 2 at 10 am is author Jeanne Keresztesi discussing her book, An Unmade Life.
